The Spatial STEM+C project conducted classroom research to measure the impact that spatial thinking interventions had on computational thinking and mathematical performance in K-5 children.

The project leaders hypothesized that spatial thinking skills, computational thinking abilities, and mathematical performance are highly correlated in the elementary grades. Thus, teaching spatial thinking skills to children should improve their computational thinking abilities and mathematical performance.
