XR, which stands for Extended Reality, refers to a combination of technologies including Virtual Reality (VR), Augmented Reality (AR), and Mixed Reality (MR). These technologies have many potential benefits for higher education.

VR can also be used to create historical simulations or virtual field trips, providing students with a more immersive and engaging learning experience.
